Is ChatEZ really free?
Yes. No ads and no paid tiers. If you want to help, you can support the project on Patreon or Buy Me a Coffee, but every feature stays free.
Is ChatEZ made by Twitch?
No. ChatEZ is an independent project. It works with Twitch through Twitch's official APIs, but it is not affiliated with or endorsed by Twitch.
Do I need to be a moderator to use it?
No. ChatEZ is a full chat client for anyone. The moderation tools appear in channels where your account is a moderator.
Does ChatEZ see my Twitch password?
No. You sign in through Twitch's own login page, and ChatEZ only receives the permissions you approve there.
Can it show chat from before I opened it?
No. Twitch does not provide past chat history, so ChatEZ shows messages from the moment it connects. Turn on Record Logs for channels where you want a record.
Where do the emotes come from?
Twitch, 7TV, BTTV and FFZ emotes are loaded live from those services, the same as other chat clients. ChatEZ does not host or own them.
Which platforms are supported?
Windows for now.
